Bedford real estate

Bedford wraps around the northwest shore of the Bedford Basin, from the waterfront boardwalk at DeWolf Park up to the new streets of Bedford West. My office is on the Bedford Highway, so this is home turf. Here's what each part of Bedford is like, what's for sale right now, and what your Bedford home could sell for.

Bedford, neighbourhood by neighbourhood

Downtown Bedford and Fort Sackville

The original heart of Bedford along the Bedford Highway and Mill Cove. Older homes, low-rise condos and apartments within walking distance of DeWolf Park, the waterfront boardwalk, Scott Manor House, cafés and the shops on the Bedford Highway.

Bedford South

A newer planned community on the hill above the basin, built mostly since the 2000s. Single family homes, townhouses and condo buildings, many with basin views, with Bedford South School on Oceanview Drive.

Bedford West and Larry Uteck

The newest part of Bedford, off Larry Uteck Boulevard and Broad Street near Highway 102. New single family homes, townhouses and condos, West Bedford School and West Bedford High, Charles P. Allen High on Innovation Drive, and growing retail.

Eaglewood and Sunnyside

Established family streets on the slope above the Bedford Highway, near Sunnyside Elementary on Eaglewood Drive and the Sunnyside shops. Mostly detached homes on mature lots.

Basinview and Rocky Lake

Larger detached homes on quiet streets off Basinview Drive and Rocky Lake Drive, close to Basinview Drive Community School, Rocky Lake Junior High, the BMO Centre and the Bedford Bypass.

Paper Mill Lake and Admiral's Cove

Homes around Paper Mill Lake and along Shore Drive, close to the trails and lookoffs of Admiral's Cove Park. Lake and basin views are a big part of the appeal.

My Bedford favourites

I work out of the office on the Bedford Highway, so I've had plenty of time to find the good spots. A few I send clients to:

  • Bedford Neighbourhood Pub at Bedford Place Mall. Amazing wings and solid pub food.
  • il Mercato for Italian. It's my go-to when I want a proper dinner out in Bedford.
  • AMG Collectibles at Bedford Place Mall. If you're into collectibles like I am, you can't beat popping in.
  • The Admiral's Cove lookoff. If you love hiking, this is a must. The view over the Bedford Basin is worth the climb.
  • DeWolf Park. You can't forget it. The waterfront boardwalk along the basin is perfect for a walk, and it's where Bedford Days happens every summer.
  • Sandy Lake Park. Trails through the woods and a lake to cool off in, without leaving Bedford.
  • Nine Locks Brewing, their new Bedford spot. If you like a nice pint of local beer, this is the place.
  • Jack's Car Spa. Need to clean your car and want a cool experience? Give it a try.
